  Should a ban be adopted, the ritual circumcision boy either be conducted in secret - and without the possibility of essential medical care if something goes wrong.

  In other words if they continue to perform this practice in private and something were to go wrong which happens all the time, they will not be allowed to seek medical attention through public insurance and will be forced to pay out of pocket. The same for out of country circumcision. Will not be allowed to return for treatment.

  My next topic is about banning Halal the barbaric and cruel mistreatment of animals. I would post a video about what Halal is but it is far too graphic.

  The word “BROAD” and the Australian Royal Commission

  perhaps i am making too much of this, but was anyone else struck with the number of times the word ‘broad’ and ‘broadly’ were used?

  sometimes i wondered if it was due to coaching, in particular when the questioning put a person in a tight spot.

  This is an oldie but goodie for all the newbies to consider. I am very, very familiar with this sort of treachery the WT has become famous for. No wonder they want to distance themselves from this.   Fading is never 100% successful is it?

  mum phoned last night to see how we all are.

  after fifteen years away from meetings and my old jw life you'd think my fade could be called 'successful' and for the most part it is.

  .. my resentment at being lied to and having wasted over thirty years of my life has left me like a glass of water full to the brim, it only takes a tap to make a mess.

  many posters quote geoffrey jackson as saying " it would be presumptuous" to say that the gb is jehovah's sole spokesperson on earth.. what he actually said was that "it would seem to be quite presumptuous".

  this is actually very clever, as adding "seem" to the sentence leaves the possibility that it isn't presumptuous to call themselves "jehovah's sole channel".

  Well, he is just taking a page from the great spin master himself, Jehovah............... who supposedly inspired a book that started out with lots of war, hate, bigotry, sexism, intolerance etc and turned into the man with love flowing from his garments but not without adding lots of confusion through thousands of various verses which can be interpreted any way you want.
